Lord I Know I Need to Change
Based on Isaiah's experience in Isaiah 6, we find some commonalities with the Prophet as well as those in the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the Southern Kingdom of Judah. Life is a constant series of changes, but the biggest change is when an individual realizes that he/she is a condemned sinner and in need of salvation. Isaiah saw not only the depravity of his people but his own as well. The change a new life in Christ brings is eternal, but nowhere in the Scriptures are we taught that change comes easily. This message consists of 4-main points or principles for Christians today.
1. To experience real change, you need a personal encounter with God! (Isa. 6:1-4; 1 Jn. 1:12-13; Jn. 6:44)
2. If you want to experience real change, take a long look at yourself and reassess your life. (Isa. 6;5; 2 Cor.13:1-5; Lk. 5:8; Rom. 2:1-8)
3. Clean up your act if you want to experience real-life change! (Isa. 6:6-7)
4. If you do experience real change, then your heart will say, “Send me.” (Isa. 6:8-9a)
