The Kids Christian Appalachia Project (KidsCAP) is a new mission opportunity serving under the ministry of Christ-Centered Solutions. Its goal is to support needy children by providing essentials like food, clothing, school supplies, and kid-friendly Bible-based programs.
Founded by Joyce and Octavio Fragoso, the project focuses on McDowell County, WV, one of the neediest counties in the U.S. With guidance from Dr. Rod West and Christ-Centered Solutions, the Fragosos are working to build relationships with local churches, businesses, and suppliers to meet the various needs of McDowell County and southern West Virginia.
Joyce states, "Octavio and I want to express our deep gratitude to our friend and Pastor, Rod West. His support and guidance in helping us make KidsCAP's mission a reality are such a blessing. Through Pastor Rod and Christ-Centered Solutions, we have received valuable instruction on how to move forward as missionaries. Again, we are so thankful for Pastor Rod's care and encouragement."

KIDSCAP CHRISTMAS - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Kids Christian Appalachia Project (KidsCAP) was grateful to return for our second mission trip to McDowell County, WV, on the weekend of 12/12 to 12/13. We arrived excited and got right to work unloading a van packed with donations and wrapping gifts for children in need. We partnered with Welch Elementary, which provided a list of families in need of assistance, and with the Welch First Church of God. We saw God’s care in many ways, including food donations, a cheerful visit from Santa, and special treats for the kids. The children sang a song and learned about the true meaning of Christmas, "the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ." Afterward, they received new jackets and toys. We were also thankful to donate much-needed hygiene supplies, new toys, and baby clothes to Community Crossing again. We appreciate their Parents as Teachers program, which supports children from birth to age five. We also gave gently used clothing, shoes, and food to the Little Vine Baptist Church of Welch. The weekend was full of generosity, joy, and the love of Christ in action.

On behalf of KidsCAP and Christ-Centered Solutions, thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas mission project. Joyce and Octavio not only did great work in the name of Christ Jesus, but also put themselves out, so to speak, traveling the mountains of West Virginia in snow and ice without a place to rest. We thank God for their commitment to serving Him, and your commitment to giving to those in need!
