dr. rod west
Founder, Director of Biblical Counseling, & CCS Board Chairman
Before founding CCS, Rod served in pastoral ministry for thirty+ years. In the mid-2000s Rod also worked with the North Carolina Baptist State Convention as a church planter. He is a graduate of Liberty University, and prior to entering full-time ministry he worked as a Behavioral Counselor and Social Worker in the NC mental health system. While at Liberty he also played collegiate football for the Flames. Rod holds a BS degree in Clinical Psychology, as well as a Master and Doctor of Biblical Studies. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors with an Advanced Certification in Biblical Counseling.

Pastor, & CCS Board Member (CCS Secretary)
Joey was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. He began pastoral ministry in 1993 after a short-term mission trip to Ukraine, serving as an Associate Pastor at his home church in Wilmington. After graduating from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Joey began shepherding churches in the Southeastern NC area. He has served at Hampstead Baptist since February of 2014. Pastor Joey loves shepherding God’s people and preaching God’s Word.
Joey has been married to his wife, Ramona since July of 1988. They have two grown children and two grandchildren. During his free time, he enjoys listening to and playing bluegrass music and telling corny jokes.

Mark accepted the call of God to lead our church in October, 2016.
Mark has served several churches in Kentucky including churches in Louisville, Owenton, Worthville, and Highland Heights. Also Mark was involved in planting two churches in Ohio.
He was married to Kristy in 1995, and God has blessed them with two children: Landon, and Zoe. The Webb's seek to allow ministry to naturally flow out of their lives. Serving God is not just something they do, it makes them who they are.
Mark and Kristy both grew up in Louisville, but they had never met until a friend introduced them as they were completing their degrees. Mark attended Samford University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kristy is a graduate of University of Louisville. Kristy works as the City Clerk for Taylor Mill.
Mark's hobbies include fishing, golf, basketball, as well as playing guitar. He also enjoys "Do It Yourself" projects around the house.

Teresa is originally from Wilkes County located in the foothills of western North Carolina. She is a proud graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelor's and master's degree in education. Rod and Teresa married in 1983 and are the proud parents of two adult sons. The oldest, Joshua, lives in Wendell, NC and the youngest, Tanner, lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife Katie. Teresa is now retired from teaching in public schools after 34 years.
